About JungleView - Stock photographs by Jacques Jangoux

My stock images show native cultures (tribal, rural) and nature (rainforest, savanna, desert, aquatic, mountain) in tropical countries (Latin America, Africa, some Asia). I am careful to correctly identify photographs with scientific name whenever relevant and possible, consulting a specialist if necessary. Some of my key concerns are the preservation of cultural and of natural diversity. I hope that my photography, used mainly in educational media, will contribute toward that goal. More recently my preoccupations have extended to global warming and climate change. Currently I photograph the Cerrado (savannas) and the rural people (small farmers, cowboys) of the Central Brazil Highlands. I emphasize the image collections: Tropical ecology concepts, processes; Rainforest; Babies, children, teenagers; Tourist / travel destinations ; Brazilian economy; Environment, biodiversity; Indian tribes; Religion, Colonial churches, Shamanism, Social Issues.
Tropical biomes including tropical rainforest (Tropical Rain Forest): ecology, life forms, aerials, forest fires; savanna; mountain vegetation; xeric vegetation; aquatic vagetation in South America, Amazon region, Brazil, Venezuela, some Asia; scenics and geomorphology: Guiana Highlands including Angel Falls, Brazilian Highlands.
